Agile-підхід як метод управління проєктами з’явився ще на початку XXI сторіччя. Перші правила цього методу, які назвали Agile-маніфестом (англ. Agile Manifesto), включали нові принципи роботи та гнучку методологію, він був написаний програмістами для розробки.
