Стаття досліджує економіку спільного споживання на прикладі платформи Airbnb як прояв інтеграційних процесів у готельному бізнесі. Дослідження аналізує вплив платформи Airbnb на традиційний готельний сектор, розглядаючи виклики та можливості, які виникають у результаті інтеграції таких інноваційних рішень у туристичну галузь. Особливий акцент зроблено на розкритті проблеми расової дискримінації, юридичних суперечок, а також впливу на регіональну економіку та ринки нерухомості. Розглянуто ключові події в історії розвитку Airbnb, зокрема виклики, пов’язані з фінансуванням, забезпеченням безпеки орендодавців, регуляторними вимогами та взаємодією з місцевою владою в різних країнах. У статті також проаналізовано аналогії між платформами Airbnb та Booking, визначено ключові відмінності їхніх бізнес-моделей та адаптаційні стратегії для готельних підприємств у конкурентному середовищі.
