О.С.Гусенко. – Одеса: ОНЕУ, 2021. – 116с.The paper considers theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the essence of the concepts "competitiveness of the region", "economic security of the region" and "foreign economic security of the region". The substantiation of the methodology of assessing the competitiveness of the region and the components of economic security of the region in the context of increasing its competitiveness. The competitiveness of the Black Sea region is analyzed and the foreign economic security of the Black Sea region is assessed in accordance with the components of its competitiveness. The relationship between the competitiveness of the Black Sea region and the economic security of Ukraine is analyzed. The directions of improvement of the investment component of ensuring the foreign economic security of the Black Sea region as a factor of increasing its competitiveness are determined. Mechanisms for increasing the competitiveness and strengthening the foreign economic security of the Black Sea region in the conditions of decentralization of power are proposed. Strategic priorities have been identified and a system of regional policy tasks has been formed to increase competitiveness and strengthen the foreign economic security of the Black Sea region.
