In their work, the authors examined the impact of military operations on the development of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among military personnel. Against this background, there is a need to review scientific papers and empirical studies in order to reveal the mecha-nisms of PTSD during military operations. It is emphasized that participation in hostilities sig-nificantly affects the consciousness of a person, leading to significant qualitative changes. Being at war is an extreme situation when a person constantly experiences extreme psycho-emo-tional stress and is forced to overcome it by will-power. This does not go unnoticed. Almost all combatants experience changes in their physi-cal and mental state. Analyzing the results of sci-entific, theoretical and practical achievements, we can say that the impact of martial law has created a high level of psychosocial challenges, especially in terms of post-traumatic stress dis-order, which has acquired new qualitative and quantitative characteristics. Combat stress can manifest itself at any time through a variety of symptoms. Neuroses are particularly common among soldiers who have been on the front line, lived in the trenches, been injured or maimed, witnessed the death of comrades-in-arms, or been held in captivity. It should also be noted that post-traumatic stress disorders contribute to the formation of specific family relationships and life scenarios that can affect their entire life trajectory. In the current conditions of Ukrainian society, in particular due to the conflict on the territory of Ukraine, the increasing number of servicemen who participated in combat opera-tions, their physical and mental health is signifi-cantly changing. They experience psychological trauma that affects their psyche and can cause serious mental disorders. The risk factors and prevention and rehabilitation measures aimed at reducing the impact of military stressors on the mental health of the military are considered. This article expands the understanding of pro-fessional psychologists, medical professionals, and researchers about the psychological state of military personnel in the context of military conflicts.en
