| Abstract: | Метою публікації є визначення сутності мотиваціі, її місця в процесі навчання їноземних мов. Виділено два види мотиваціі: внутрішню та зовнішню а також іх роль у навчанні. Розглянуто деякі шляхи підвищення мотивації студентів щодо вивчення іноземної мови. В публікаціі підкреслюється, що успішний підбір методики в купі з мотивацією не лише сприяють подоланню таких психологічних бар’єрів як страх перед говорінням іноземною мовою, а й визначають продуктивність і підвищення інтересу до її вивчення. |

| Other Identifiers: | УДК 81'243:378.1(043.2) The purpose of the publication is to define the essence of motivation and its place in the process of teaching foreign languages. Two types of motivation are distinguished: intrinsic and extrinsic, as well as their role in learning. Some ways to increase students' motivation to learn foreign languages are considered. The publication emphasizes that the successful selection of methods together with motivation not only helps to overcome such psychological barriers as fear of speaking a foreign language but also determines productivity and increases interest in learning it.
