Забезпечувати процес підвищення якості вищої освіти є головною метою реформування сфери вищої освіти. У цьому напрямі як складову системи перетворень закладів вищої освіти (ЗВО) сьогодні розглядається студентоцентричне навчання. І справді, студентоцентризм як винятково значима особливість сучасного викладання у ЗВО означає положення за якого у центрі уваги навчального закладу повинно бути поставлено студента, його розвиток особистості, удосконалення його досягнень і розширення здібностей. Студент має стати об’єктом навчання, активним учасником освітнього процесу. Молода людина повинна вміти сприймати зміни, які відбуваються у світі, і життя, яке вирує у постійно перетворюваному середовищі. Потребує таких саме змін і освіта, і особливо – навчальний процес ЗВО. Такі основні постулати студентоцентризму.
