Історичний досвід функціонування ланкастерських шкіл у південній Бессарабії

Abstract

Висвітлення особливостей становлення та розвитку освітніх закладів, зокрема на прикладі ланкастерських шкіл, на Півдні України у ХІХ ст. є метою цієї статті. Стаття сформована на засадах визнання принципів історизму та об’єктивності. Застосовувалися також порівняльно–історичний, аналітичний, статистичний, типологічний методи аналізу подій та процесів, пов’язаних із розвитком і становленням освітніх закладів. У результаті дослідження було виявлено, що ланкастерський тип шкіл, не отримав широкого поширення серед населення, а спроби відкрити ланкастерські школи в сільській місцевості не увінчалися успіхом. Проте, ланкастерські школи відіграли дуже важливу роль в історії вітчизняної народної освіти. Крім того, вони дали країні велику кількість освічених людей, частина яких згодом продовжувала займатися самоосвітою.

Illumination of the peculiarities of the formation and development of educational institutions, in particular on the example of Lancaster schools, in the south of Ukraine in the nineteenth century is the purpose of this article. The article is formed on the principles of recognition of the principles of historicity and objectivity. Also used are comparative–historical, analytical, statistical, typological methods for analyzing events and processes associated with the development and formation of educational institutions. The study found that the Lancaster type of schools was not widely distributed among the population, and attempts to open Lancaster schools in the countryside did not succeed. However, lancaster schools played a very important role in the history of national folk education. In addition, they gave the country a large number of educated people, some of whom subsequently continued to engage in self–education.
